MalariaWorld Journal

MalariaWorld Journal - MW.J

Scientific Malaria Journal

The Dutch Malaria Foundation publishes its own Open Access scientific journal: the MalariaWorld Journal (MWJ). MWJ is registered at PubMed Central of the US National Library of Medicine, the largest biomedical library in the world. We make it possible for every malaria scientist anywhere in the world to share  information and knowledge. In this way, we contribute to ensuring that doctors and malaria researchers all over the world can well-informed be engaged in the fight against malaria.

Why our own scientific journal?

There is currently only 1 other scientific journal that focuses entirely on malaria. It is terribly expensive to publish in that journal. This prevents many researchers from publishing their work. 10 years ago we thought that this must and can be done differently. And that's what we do. By managing our expenditures very carefully, we keep our costs low and we can offer a high-quality magazine at low publication costs. In this way we are working to ensure that everyone, anywhere in the world, can share their research results. In 2021, our MalariaWorld Journal was indexed in PubMed. This means that our own articles can be found all over the world. We are very proud of  this achievement.
